Election Information

If you need to change your mailing address and are registered in Oregon, you can update your information online at www.oregonvotes.gov.

Last day to register for November 2020 election is October 13, 2020.

If you can’t get it done before the ballots are mailed you have 8 p.m. on Election Day, you can still vote but you need to go into the Election Office. BUT YOU CAN STILL VOTE.

• Ballots must be received by county elections office by 8:00 pm. Postmarks will not count.

Ballots cannot be forwarded.
Residents can call the Jackson County Elections office at 541-774-6148 or go to 1101 W. Main St., No. 201, in Medford.
Josephine County Elections office is at 500 NW Sixth Street, Grants Pass.

Important dates for the General Election/Special Election or Primary voter registration deadline, when ballots will be mailed, and election day.

• Voter registration deadline is 21 days before the election.
• Ballots  are mailed between the 18th and 14th day before the election.

• General elections are held in November, of even-numbered years. The 1st Tuesday, after the 1st Monday, in November –

• The 3rd Tuesday in May – Primary
  Primary elections are held in May, of even-numbered years, to select candidates for the general election.

• • The 2nd Tuesday in March, The 3rd Tuesday in September
    Whether an election is held depends on whether the local jurisdiction is putting something before the people to vote on.

• For state races: Special elections are held when a federal office becomes vacant, or when the Oregon Legislature schedules an election to vote on a ballot measure.
